MULLINS Mr. Paul Stuart, 93, husband of Annie B. Stuart, died Wednesday,
Sept. 8, 2004, at Carolinas Hospital System after an illness.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Macedonia United Methodist
Church. Burial will follow in Cedardale Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins
Funeral Home.

Mr. Stuart was born June 12, 1911, in Robeson County, N.C., a son of the
late John L. and Lena Roberts Stuart. Pa Paul, as he was fondly known, was
owner of Stuart Truck Lines for 53 years and worked until the age of 82. He
graduated from High School in Robeson County, N.C. Mr. Stuart was a member
of Macedonia United Methodist Church where he was a faithful member of The
Hut Class.

Surviving Mr. Stuart in addition to his wife of the home are two daughters,
Jimmie Ann Nolan and her husband Lloyd of Mullins and Ella Ree Hopkins and
her husband Bill of Hartsville; a son, Kenneth McLellan of Woodstock, Ga.; a
sister, Hilda Griffin of Fairmont, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Emily Stuart of
Fairmont, N.C.; a special friend, Wilbur Slaughter; 11 grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Stuart was predeceased by his first wife, Rosa Lee Moody Stuart; a
sister, Ruth Stuart Atkinson; a brother, Leon Stuart; and a grandson, Robin
Craig Nolan.
