I have found an obituary for a J. Jeff Sasser, age 40, dated March 2002 in Goldsboro, Wayne County, NC. He was survived by a sister, Jeanne Speight (wife of Kevin), and nephews Ian Speight and NOAH SPEIGHT.
I'm wondering how many Perquimans County families settled in Wayne County, NC near Goldsboro. That's quite a ways South, to be sure! Could be that these folks are descended from our Noah Speight born c. 1795 in Perquimans County NC.
