To set the record straight, I never called anyone anything. Many people
sent me emails with viruses, and I sent them back the simple statement
"you sent me a virus"
To the first two people who sent me a virus, before I knew this was so
widespread, I did send the following statement:
"You sent me a virus. How inconsiderate." to one of them and
"You sent me a virus. How rude." to the other person.
This was more of a joke than a rebuke, which I thought better of and
changed later. Exactly those words. Your cousin must have been one of
those two. She immediately began sending me long, scathing emails. I
simply responded to one of them by saying "Please remove me from your
address book, it is infected."
I was never crass or obnoxious. Please tell your cousin I apologize for
my part in the exchange. Also, I don't recall anything resembling an
apology from your cousin. I don't know what all has been said about me
on this list since I unsubscribed, but that is my side of the story.
Since so many people have emailed me asking me to come back to the
Orange list, I will gladly. I still have much more research to do here
and share. I hope we can get on with the business (&pleasure) of
genealogy.
