WIlliam Hooker I (Will !716 Chowan Co.) actually lived in what is today
Hertford County. At the time of his death it was a part of Chowan.
Locations on deeds and will indicates this is so.

His son William II( will 1756/57 Bertie County) lived in the same area
as his father but by this time this section had become a part of Bertie
County. I have a copy of this will that I got from the state
archives. His wife was Sarah. Maiden name unknown by all researchers I
have been in contact with.
His Children:
William III married Mary Hymerick. Moved to Dobbs Co. (Geeen Co.)
Nathan moved to Dobbs (Green) Later moved to Ga. Married Martha
Jones.
Ann moved to Dobbs (Green) Married to Jacob Lassiter.
Sarah was married to Nicholas Askew and to ? Sessums. Lived in
Edgecomb Co.
John married Elizabeth Mary Swain and moved to Tyrrell Co.
Stephen married Rosanna Swain ( sister to ELizabeth Mary) and moved
to Tyrrell
James stayed on his fathers land and by the time of his death in the
1770's this area had become Hertford County. Samuel Hooker was the son
of James not Stephen as is so often told) .

William Hooker III and Mary Hymerick had a son named William. This
William
was married to Elizabeth Phillips and Sallie Lassiter.

William and Elizabeth Phillips Hooker had a son William that was married
to Laney Harper.

There were a lot of Williams.
