Is anyone working on the early Benton family - say before 1850. Counties of
interest - Lenoir, Wayne, Dobbs, Duplin, Sampson. Names of interest -
Francis, Sr or Jr. Joseph, Aaron, James, Jonathan.

In 1769 there was a Francis with Aaron and Francis in the household. In
addition there was a Francis Jr - was he the one in the household with Sr
or a cousin. There was also a Joseph. These names appear in all the
counties listed above and a few more.
