Do lemon trees grow in northern Granville Co?
Would they have been grown in 1927?
I have a story of a large family reunion in Aug 1927 at a house on the
Virginia border where a huge quantity of lemonade was made and served in
a big wash tub.
My first reaction was that procuring lemons would have been an expensive
proposition at that time.
Lemons are usually the easiest of citrus to grow, however, and maybe
some varieties of lemons were grown there.
Would appreciate your thoughts, Listers. Judith B. Gabor
