The Albemarle Genealogical Society was founded January, 1982 to aid
individuals in their genealogical research and in the compilation of their
family histories. Membership Dues are $8 per year for individual membership,
$10 per year for a couple receiving one newsletter. A Newsletter is published
quarterly. Queries in the newsletter are free as space permits though members
have priority. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of Jan, Apr, Jul, and Oct at the
Currituck County Public Library. Meetings are open to anyone interested in
the topic presented or in genealogy in general. Visitors are welcome.

This is a 9 x 12 hardback book with the seal of Currituck County stamped in
gold foil on the front cover. This book with over 500 pages, published in
1985, includes the history of Currituck County, NC. It contains over 500
stories of Currituck-connected families, many with pictures. It has a last
name idex.

Currituck Marriage Records-Book A-1851-1867

Sopft cover, stapled type book. (proofed against original marriage records
and revised Dec. 1998) This book contains the oldest records of mariages for
Currituck County, NC. Records book A lists only Bride and Groom and date of
marriage.

WPA's 1936 survey.

cemeteries (prodominantly white) in Currituck County, NC. Published by

cover stamped in gold. The fullname index includes indexing of possible
maiden names, former married names, and nicknames.
