WWW.MonroeGen.org , a web site devoted to the Monroe/Munroe/Munro families
from the Cape Fear region of North Carolina has been updated.

New data includes a copy of the Revolution-era "Massacre at Piney Bottom" by
Eli Caruthers (1854) at www.MonroeGen.org/piney.htm This should be of
general interest to anyone with Scottish ancestors in the area or an
interest in Revolutionary War history.

WWW.MonroeGen.org/john.htm is a new genealogy page tracing what was probably
the earliest (1753) Munro family in the Cape Fear area, John Munroe and his
sons Daniel, Malcolm and Patrick. Includes lots of links to the supporting
documents.

WWW.MonroeGen.org/MiscRecords.htm contains several new documents, including
land records and a DAR membership application with Malcolm Munroe as the
Revolutionary ancestor.
