Hello. I found a Rootsweb post where it was indicated that you are assisting another person who is looking for NC Stallings family history information and thought I would write to see if you have any information about my fiance's grandfather, Joseph Stallings, born somewhere around 1905 (died 1991 in Nash/Nashville, NC area). He supposedly came to this country alone from Italy, sent by his parents, and was adopted by the Stallings family, so his original name was not Stallings. He lived in the Edenton area (Tiptoe Road off Mexico Rd, I believe). His son is Frances Derek and another son, nicknamed "Fuzz." Joseph was part of NC's rich moonshine history as he was rumored to be involved in the trade. His grandson, Joseph Michael Stallings, was named after him and would love more information. Any help would be appreciated.
