I don't have the definitive connection between Isaac and Ephraim but like I said, there were no other Murch's in Castine at that time. There were many in Ellsworth which is right next door, but there are no Isaac or Ephraims there either. So here is the info on Ephraim. Hope it helps.

1. Walter Murch b. about 1680 m. Debra ----
2. Walter Murch b. about 1705 m. Rebecca Garland
3. Walter Murch b. 1736, m. Jerusha Brown
4. Ephraim Murch b. 1778, m. Rebecca Cobb
Ephraim was born in Gorham, Me. and died in Castine.
Their children were,
James
Hannah b. 1809
Rebecca b. 1811
Jerusha b. 1815
James b. 1817
Susan b. 1822
Simeon b. 1825

Another possibility. Are you sure Isaac was born in Castine? There was an Isaac born in Gorham on 10/17/1809. I don't have any more info on him. Possibly he moved to Castine? This Isaacs parents were John Murch and Polly Boynton.
