HAUGNESS SERVICES CONDUCTED AT MALTA.
Special to the Daily News.
MALTA, March 14 -- Funeral services for Julius Haugnes, a farmer from the Loring community who died at Warm Springs, were held at Malta from the Lutheran church with Rev. A.B. Cornielson officiating.
The deceased is survived by his wife and five small children. He was 40 years of age and was born at Westbrook, Minnesota. He has been a resident of Phillips county for a number of years and owned a large farm 30 miles north of Malta.
----------
NOTE: The headline on the obit spelled out "Haugness" but the body of the obit spelled the name "Haugnes."
Also please note that Warm Springs is located in Deer Lodge County and is the location of the Montana State Hospital for the mentally ill. It is possible that he was a patient in this hospital. If so, you can obtain copies of his old hospital records by contacting the hospital and obtaining his patient I.D. number, and then contacting the Montana State Historical Society & Archives located in Helena, Montana, where all old institutional records are archived.
I am not related.
