Many newspapers will not reply to requests for obituaries, hopefully I'm incorrect about the Dillon Tribune.

The Beaverhead County Museum has a wonderful genealogy room with indexed obituaries, files by family surname, photographs, county histories and more. I was amazed and grateful! It is probably one of the most organized, helpful and impressive spots I've been for persuing genealogy research at the small town local level. During my visit I came away with a large amount of information.

If you have any ancestors from Beaverhead County, I highly recommend a visit or a written inquiry. Don't forget the self-addressed stamped envelope.
