Mary Anne McClendon, my husband's grand aunt, married Josiah Nettles ca.
1850. They are the parents of two sons, George W. Nettles (b. 1855) and
William Monroe Nettles. George had one son, William Monroe Nettles b. ca.
1880's , two daughters, Emily Jane (b. 1887) and Emma (b. ca. 1895).
William Monroe Nettles (brother of George) had only a son, Kirk Nettles.
All of these Nettles men were in East Feliciana, LA. Mary Jane Nettles
does not seem to be in the line you are researching, but perhaps this
information will help you in your search.
Do you have Carlo Ruth Trum Mercado's work on the Phipps family?
