After several years of challenging health issues I am now back working
on my Ashley book. I am currently working on the Nettles family
descendants. I have found a Robert L. Cavin, son of James P. Cavin and
Elizabeth Hastings, who was married to Huldah Jamieson. Later there is
a R. L. Cavin married to Mary Jane Nettles, widow of Fielding Turner
Jamieson.
Do any of you know if this was the same man? I sort of think it is.

I also am interesting in contacting anyone working the Brown family. In
the mid-1940s we lived in Franklin county, Louisiana. There was a brown
family living near and I think they were related to the Wilkinson county
Browns. That they someway connect to the family of Browns who md.
William Gober and is connected to the Ashleys thought Sarah Jane Adams
and Richard Phipps daughter. I would be glad to e-mail a picture of the
family to anyone interested.
