Dear Tina:

My computer crashed three times in August, the last time fatally and I
had to buy and install a new hard drive. I bought one with 20 gigabytes
(60
total) more than I had earlier and my annoying pop-ups stopped to!

I agree that we need to help each other as much as possible. After
transcribing censuses for two parishes in LA, my eyes staged a revolt
and I started buying census CD's from S.K. Publications, which puts the
image on Rootsweb for free viewing. I bought the 1860 Wilkinson Co.
census and it is posted on the MS USGENWEB ARCHIVES. I just purchased
the 1850 Carroll Parish census and it will be posted in the near future.
Since I am now on a fixed income, I can't buy too many from S.K., but I
want to help others who may live too far to visit a genealogical
library, as others have been so kind to melp me. Both Virginia and you
have made significant contributions to genealogical work in Wilkinson
County! Thank you for that!

I noticed that you transcribed two censuses of two counties in KY. I
lived in Ky for 9 years and went to post-graduate school at Murray State
University in the early 70's. That's why your KY transcriptions are
interesting to me!

Best wishes,

Ray Bartlett
