Can anyone tell me what happened to the 1860 US Census for the extreme southwestern corner of Chickasaw County. I know from land records, etc. that my DUKE ancestors were living at and near Atlanta, Chickasaw County, MS in 1860. I can't find them or other ancestors I know were living in that area at that time. There appear to be no listings at all for the town of Atlanta.
