Searching for info prior to 1860 about L.H. Howard who is listed in the 1860 Carroll CO, MS US Fed.Census; he was b. 1834 in AL and married Sarah Ellen Bradley in 1856 at Carroll County MS. On the marriage record online he is given as L.M. Howard but I have obtained a copy of the marriage certificate which clearly shows it was L.H. Howard who married Sarah Ellen Bradley in 1856. On the 1860 census transcription it gave T.E. as the wife of L.H. Howard instead of S.E.; which is also a transcription error. It gave their two children as S.H. b. 1858 and S.J. b. 1860. Both were males. My line is Samuel Henry Howard, their eldest son. The death certificate for Samuel Howard listed his parente as Lott Howard and Ellen Bradley. I have sucessfully researched Samuel but am unable to locate his brother, S.J. which is all I have about him. I have not found a census record for the family for Lott and Ellen for 1870 for Caroll CO MS. Any help would be appreciated.
