Hi,

My Grandmother Florence Gertrude Mortimer was born 1893, Cottingham, Yorkshire
Father Arthur Mortimer born abt. 1858 in Hull, Yorkshire
his father Joseph Mortimer born about 1829, Roos, Yorkshire
and Joseph's mother Elizabeth born abt 1804 Roos. I am curious because my Granmother said her family came from Thorngumbald which is near Birstall
