Getting desperate here. I'm hoping that one of you out there will either
recognize this partial information or that you have older relatives that
might recognize it.

I'm still in search of James "Long Jim" Carter b. abt. 1826 Smith's
Crossroad (now Dayton), Rhea County (may be misspelled Ray), TN. He
moved to MO and supposedly settled in the Bolivar area. He had a son
named James "Crumb" Carter. According to an older family member, she met
Crumb in Louisville, MO in 1933. She also stated that Crumb had a
daughter (she couldn't remember her name) who worked as a hairdresser in
Bolivar in the 1950's.
