Newton Co. List,

I recently acquired the 1850 Newton Co. census on CD
and am in the process of transcribing the census to a
sortable file.

Would like to thank the person who installed the S-K Publishing index at:

http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/mo/newton/census/1850/1850indx.txt

because the index is a great help in deciphering some of the names and
taking
the guess work out of interpretation of surnames. (some given names are
still
a toss up)

I also got the 1920 census which is a giant puzzle. If anyone has that
index??
Please let me know, it will be put it to good use!
