Eldo Sloan, 59, Iberia, died Thursday, February 22, at the
University of Missouri Medical Center at Columbia. Mr. Sloan was born on
January 31, 1920, in Miller County, the son of Adrian and Annie Lawson
Sloan. On October 12, 1940, he was married to Mabel Rowden, who survives of
the home. Mr. Sloan was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church and a
lifelong resident of Miller County.

Other survivors include three sons, William "Bill" Sloan, Holts
Summit, Larry Sloan, Crocker and Donald Sloan, St. Thomas; three daughters,
Mrs. Nora Ann Maylee and Miss Janice Kay Sloan, both of Holts Summit and
Mrs. Lois Prater, Iberia; one sister, Mrs. Jewell Dake, Iberia; and 12
grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 25, at the
Faith Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Don DeClue officiating. Burial was in
the Jim Matt Lawson Cemetery near Iberia. Arrangements were made by the
Stevinson Funeral Home in Iberia.
