DeVere,
In your note concerning the marriage date of Gordon and Emma being a little
late, you didn't mention the date the first child was born. Gordon was
following in his fathers footsteps. It seems that Medford, the child of
William and Eliza was a tad early as well. Mother always said that the
first baby can come any time, but it takes 9 months for the second one, for
those that choose to count.
Peggy noted that after Charles Henry Kellison died, Irene wed a Wilford
Winfrey, from the Brumley area. Do you think he was related to the Winfrey
Family that lived on Hwy A, on the hill before crossing the Glaze ? My
mother went to school with a Hugh Winfrey. He became a big stick with Brown
Shoe Co, when I worked there. I left, and Hugh left shortly after that and
went to work for International Shoe Co.
