I am trying to tie up a some loose ends on the next set of pending 1891 newspaper transcriptions.
Does anyone know who the following individuals could be?
The below tidbit w/ the surname REF appears in an 1891 Jefferson Democrat newspaper, but this surname is completely unknown to me. The item is listed under the Knorpp news section, but refers to Crystal City.
I assume that someone whose name is similar to Mr. 'REF' of Knorpp married a Kropp, Knorpp or Knapp sister from Crystal City in the time period of 1880-1891...
- It is also possible that either 1 -or- 2 sisters married Kropp's (Krepp, Knapp, etc) and 1 married Ref (Rife, Raf, etc).
The surname KNAPP is found in Crystal City per the 1907 Jeffco Directory. However, the actual text in the newspaper looks to be KROPP-or- Krepp. Since the item is listed under the Knorpp section, perhaps the name could also be Knorpp?
