"Book Jamboree"-A Regional History Book Fair
Do you enjoy books with a historical slant? Do you love books about St. Louis? Are you a family historian seeking genealogical resources? Are you looking for a good gift for a bookworm friend or history buff?
Join us at the 4th Annual "Book Jamboree," sponsored by the St. Louis Genealogical Society, at 4 Sunnen Drive, Suite 140 on Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Genealogical and historical organizations in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area will offer their history-themed books and gift items. Several St. Louis authors, including Marilynne Bradley ("St. Louis Water Colors"); Robbi Courtaway ("Wetter Than the Mississippi"); Ann Fleming ("St. Louis Family History Research Guide"); NiNi Harris (books on University City, Carondelet, Bohemian Hill, Polish in St. Louis), Julius Hunter ("TV One on One"); and Don Marsh ("Flash Frames"); will be on hand to autograph their books.
Also available for purchase are publications geared to specific interests such as military items, maps, St. Louis cemetery CDs, and Missouri and Illinois area history.
The event is free and open to the public and there is plenty of free parking right outside the door.
