Bedwell, Buduelle:? Marguerite Bedwell
Roques:? John DeRoques, Priscilla Roques
George and Margaret Graham, John and Marguerite Roques, and Matthew and Sarah Kyle were some of the early settlers of Jefferson County.? John Roques was a veteran of the War of 1812, having served as a drummer boy with his father during that conflict. George Graham and Margaret West's families were said to have been travelling together, and some of the family stayed in Jefferson County, and others continued on to Johnson County, Missouri.? Matthew Joseph Kyle was one of four brothers, John, Charles, and James,?who died before the 1850 census.? Three of the four brothers had over twenty children who were orphaned by the time of the 1850 census.? Charles, who was blind, moved around among the families.
