Date: Sat, 14 Jul 2007 10:09:24 EDT

Hello,

I have tried several times to reach the Mt. Zion Lodge - Temple on 300 East
Main Street in West
Plains. I sent a letter to the PO Box and one to the street address, and
the postman
has returned them both.
I know that at one time they were meeting on Thursday nights now and then
during each month.
I visited the Lodge - Temple and did not find anyone who would tell me
anything about the Lodge
from the people living near by.

I am trying to find out any information that the Lodge would share with me
about my
Great Grand Father Jesse Langley as he was a 33 rd Degree Mason with the
orignal
Lodge and then Temple. My biggest question is who were his parents and
where were
they living and or born??

Jesse was born about 1825 in Georgia/Alabama and died 09 Aug 1893 in Howell
County, Missouri and
is buried at the Mt. Zion cemetery in Howell County, MO

Jesse Langley was a 33 rd Degree Mason, on Masonic Temple Rd. West Plain,
MO.
His temple was first in a church building in Moody, MO.
Later it moved to West Plains, MO. The Mason Temple (Record page 43 – West
Plains,
Mo.), June 30 – Aug 31; January 30 - Aug 31 1871, E.L. Srude Lodge 90 Aug 31
-1871 to December 01 1871. Jesse Langley was also a member of Eastern Lodge
no. 207 Arkansas. From Moody he transferred to West Plains Mo. Then he
Transferred back to Moody and started Mt. Zion Masonic.
