Hi Ron and List:
I have some Shelton info...from Laclede Co..but....??? .
I monitor the Miller Co, Mo site....lately there has been SO MUCH Shelton
info.....can't keep up with it all....
If any of you Shelton lines could be connected to Miller Co, Mo...you
should check out the recent activity. I had posted some of this info to
Miller Co..as some of these persons below were from Miller Co originally.
Maybe you can find a connection!

MRS. ARVILLA SHELTON The following information was copied from a
newspaper clipping. Probably was sent by Jeff Mitchell from Waynesville,
Mrs. Arvilla May Shelton, 72 years old of 680 Spiller, Lebanon, Missouri,
passed away at Wallace Hospital at 8:20 PM Saturday, July 29, 1960 where
she had been a patient for only one day.
Funeral services were at 2 PM August 1 at Emanuel Chapel, with Reverend J.
L. Stone officiating. Interment was in Mt. Rose Memorial Park, under the
directions of Colonial Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Hamon Shelton of the home; three daughters,
Mrs. Lonnie Griffin of Crocker, Mrs. C. C. Wrinkle and Mrs. Bernard Watson
of Lebanon; one brother Charles Carroll and one sister, Mrs. Anna Shelton,
both of Miami, Oklahoma. She also leaves five grandchildren and nine

Coleman Shelton, the son of Reuben T. and Rhoda Ann [DUNCAN] Shelton was
June 29, 1908 at Hawkeye, MO. He is the youngest of three children to this
his siblings were Bert C., March 1898, and Edna, b. June 1901.
Coleman has three more siblings by Reuben's second wife, ( I have been
unable to find her name).
They are Nancy, b. 12 Feb 1912
Mirl, b. 27 Nov. 1913
Birley (twin to Mirl), 27 Nov. 1913,
and one stepbrother, Ofle Monroe, b. 1902
Coleman moved to Laclede Co. in 1925 when his father married Alma Wheeler
of Sleeper. There Coleman met Elsie Adalaide Calvert, daughter of
George M. and Leona Jane [Jefferies] Calvert.
Coleman and Elsie were married Jan. 25 1928. They have five children:
1. Lola Marie Shelton, b. 6 Mar 1928, d. 25 Dec 1931, bur. Stephens Cem.,
2. Pauline Virginia Shelton, married Burl Ashley, they have two children.
3. Bob Gene Shelton, , married first Lottie Jones, two children.
married second Barbara Stidham.
4. Billy Coleman Shelton., married first Sandra Waterman, two children
married 2nd Sharon Williams.
5. Sharon Kaye Shelton, married L. Darrell Gregory, two children.
Coleman worked for Frisco Railroad, which lead him to love trains.
He retired from Frisco after 30 years service, due to health reasons.
Coleman died Jan 19, 1966 and is buried in the Lebanon City Cemetery, next
who passed away in 1991. Coleman's love for trains lives on through his
great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Green, Derricka Gregory, Tyileore (Gregory)
Darrell Gregory,Tristan Mask, Derrian Gregory and Cameron Gregory.
