county came William West who being by me duly sworn upon his oath says that
he has given all just credits and offsetts to which the annexed note signed by
Lorenzo Blackwell is entitled and that the balance claimed is justly due and
after allowing all credits to which the Est. of L Blackwell is entitled.

Item #8 – No Will Statement

Washington County
Harvey Blackwell being duly sworn deposes and says that Lorenzo
Blackwell dec’d died without making a will as far as he now knows and that he
left neither widow nor children but left a father Jeremiah Blackwell in
Washington County, MO and the following brothers & sisters – William
Blackwell, Harvey Blackwell, Robert Blackwell, Loretta Blackwell, Lavina
Blackwell, Elizabeth Blackwell, Margaret Blackwell, Ellen Blackwell and heirs
of Nancy Blackwell who intermarried with Jno M. Strickland now deceased all in
Washington County Missouri – and that he will make a perfect inventory of and
faithfully administer all the estate of said deceased and pay the debts as far
as the assets will extend and the law direct and account for and pay all
assets which shall come to his possession or knowledge.

Item #9 – Bond

Know all men by these presents that I Harvey Blackwell as principal and David
E. Perryman and Jeremiah Blackwell as securities are held and firmly bound
unto the state of Missouri in the just and full sum of two hundred dollars for
the payment whereof well and true to be made. We bind ourselves, our heirs,
executors, and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents.
Sealed with our seals and dated Potosi May 31st 1851.

The condition of the above bond is that if Harvey Blackwell Administrator of
the estate of Lorenzo Blackwell deceased shall faithfully administer said
estate account for pay and deliver all money and property of said estate and
perform all other things touching said administrator required by law or the
order or decree of any court having jurisdiction then the above bond to be
void else to remain in full force.

will to the best of their ability view and appraise the slaves and other
personal property estate as them produce

section 6 in township 38 north of Range 4 East.

says that the foregoing contains a full inventory and description of all the
money, goods, chattels, and estate real & personal, books, papers, and
evidence of debt and of tithes of the decd and of all debts due & becoming due
as far as he can ascertain then and that he was not indebted or bound in any
contracts to the decd at the time of his death except as stated in this
inventory

The petition of Harvey Blackwell would respectfully represent to your
Honorable Body that he is the Legal administrator of Lorenzno Blackwell
deceased that by an account of his administration of said estate him with file
& prayed to be lateen? as just of this petition it will be seen that there is
not sufficient personal effects of said deceased in the hands nor to come to
him as of the adm to pay the debts of the deceased, therefore he prays you Hon
Body for an order to sell the following real estate belonging to said deceased.

To wit: 59 acres of land situate in Jefferson County be Lot No 2 of North east
quarter of sec 6 Township 38 North Range H East.

Notice
By virtue of an order from the County Court of Washington County made at the
September Term of said Court 1852, I will expose to sale on the second day of
the November term of the Circuit Court of Jefferson County to begin and held
at Hillsboro in said County on the 4 Monday in November 1852 at the Court
House door in said County and while said court is in session all the rights,
title, interest, and claim of Lorenzo Blackwell decease in and to the
following real estate situation in said County of Jefferson to the highest
bidder for cash in had to wit: The Lot No. 2 of Northeast quarter of section
Six Township 38 North Range 4 East sold for the payment of debts of said
deceased.

Item #16 – Sale of Land 11/22/1851

This day personally appeared before me the undersigned a Justice of the
Peace ? ? ? for Valle Township Jefferson County David Willson and George
Perkins being appointed appraisers of the Estate of Lorenzo Blackwell decd and
after they being duly sworn state that they are no wise interested in said
estate nor of kin to any person interested in the estate aforesaid as heirs or
devises.
