Obituary 1-29-1970 HG Funeral services for Mrs. Nick Snyder, 68, held Saturday Jan. 24.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Snyder, who passed away suddenly at the Haven Homes residence, were conducted Saturday, Jan. 24 in the United Methodist church, Rev. Henry H. Lewis officiating.
Mrs. Donal Hall, the organist accompanied Mrs. Robert Miller and Mrs. Richard Burvee as they sang the hymns "Rock of Ages" and "Till We Meet Again".
Bearing the body to its final resting place in the Lakeside cemetery were Kenneth Eddy, Clifford Nordstrom, Vernon Truax, Clarence, Dayton and Russell Robinson.
Mrs. Snyder, daughter of the late George and Della Foster, was born Aug. 10, 1901 in Minnesota. Her marriage to Nick Snyder was performed in Minneapolis, 1918, where they resided before coming to Hastings, which has been her home for many years. Mr. Snyder passed away in May 1969.
Surviving Mrs. Snyder are three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Siebenaler, Jefferson City, Mo., Mrs. Alvin (Marie) Krech, St. Paul Park, Mrs. Gene (LaVon) Chandler, Hastings, and five sons, Leonard, Minneapolis, Robert, Nicholas, Glen and Harry, Hastings; one brother, Halli Foster, Michigan, many grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Prior to the funeral, a visitation was held at the Ellis Funeral Home from Friday 10:00 a.m. until time for the church rites.
