WARN, Gary Joseph
of Portage

Passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005. Gary was born November 29, 1944 in Detroit, the son of Harold and Louise (Johnson) Warn and has been a longtime Portage resident. During the Vietnam War he served overseas in the U.S. Army Engineer Division Americal; later was a member of the VVA Chapter #93 and the Americal Division. He was employed for several years with Summit Polymers. For many years he was involved with South Portage Little League and had served as umpire coordinator. Gary was an avid supporter of Portage Central Athletics, especially football and wrestling programs helping out where-ever he could. On December 2, 1967, he was married to the former Patricia Howard who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Joseph (Jodie) Warn of Leonidas, Jeff (Jennifer) Warn of Portage; 3 grandchildren, Morgan, Bradley and Megan; a sister, Patricia (James) McClish of Mendon. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, !
411 E. Centre Ave. Graveside Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday with full military honors at Ft. Custer National Cemetery (please meet at cemetery entrance at 12:50). Memorials in Gary's memory may be directed to the Portage Central Athletic Department.
