WIEGNER, John C.
Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Troy, NY, on September 20, 1930, the son of Charles and Marie (Hare) Wiegner. John worked for Albany International until his retirement in 1985 after 30 years of service. He married Shirley Ann Flubacher, his wife of 52 years on August 3, 1952 in Troy, NY; she survives. John is also survived by 4 daughters, Debra (Bob) Waugh of Petoskey, Lisa (David) Crandell of Richland, Melanie (Ron) Kester of Penryn, CA, and Sandra (Dan) Bowker of Hickory Corners; 16 grandchildren; a brother, William (Maureen) Wiegner of Williamston, VT; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Breault of Cambridge, NY, and Nancy Wiegner of Kissimmee, FL. Additionally, he is survived by many nieces, nephews and many very good friends. John was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Richard Wiegner. He enjoyed tennis, reading, yard work, bird watching and traveling. He particula!
rly enjoyed the last ten winters they spent with his many good friends on South Padre Island in Texas. At the request of the family, friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Gull Lake Country Club 9725 West Gull Lake Dr., Richland, where family will receive friends 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2005 at the Gull Lake Area Community Church, 9292 East CD Ave., Richland, with Pastor Todd Ter Avest officiating. Interment will be in Yorkville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo or Gull Lake Area Community Church. Arrangements by
