Mrs. Lancaster passed away Friday morning, April 15, 2005 at her home. She was born August 28, 1915 in Hopkins, Michigan, daughter of the late John and Katherine (Link) Schafer. Mrs. Lancaster was a member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and cooking for her family. Christina loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Surviving are two children, Larry (Catheryn) Lancaster of Weidman, MI, Joan (David) DeYoung of Parchment; five grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Irvin Schafer; and four sisters, Martha Hess, Hulda Opperman, Esther Kerber, and Kathryn Garlock. Funeral services for Mrs. Lancaster will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, 2381 Romence Road, with Rev. Mark D. Gieschen officiating. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memo!
