HUGHES, Edward "Ted"
Galesburg

Passed away Monday, April 11, 2005. He was born February 28, 1928 in Kalamazoo,the son of Emerald A. and Pansy (Brewer) Hughes and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Ted had been employed by the Kalamazoo County Road Commission, Kalamazoo Ready Mix, American Aggregates, and Galesburg Sheet Metal. Ted was a former member of the Eagles Lodge, the Moose Lodge, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff Reserve, the Kalamazoo Antique Auto Restorers Club and the Michigan Fiddlers Association. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Daniel Edward in 1972 and Michael Joe in 1976; 3 sisters, Vivian Smith, June Newton and Jean Roeper. Ted is survived by his wife, LouAnne (Richardson) Hughes; 3 brothers, John Hughes of Plainwell, Allen Crawford of Kalamazoo and Bob Crawford of Kalamazoo; 2 sisters, Eileen French of Parchment and Linda Plank of Nappanee, IN; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Ba!
