CLAREY, Virginia B.

Mrs. Clarey passed away Thursday evening, March 24, 2005 at Tendercare of Kalamazoo. She was born September 10, 1923 in Lawton, daughter of the late Percy and Mary (Hines) Warren. On September 27, 1944, Virginia married Bernard Clarey in Kalamazoo. She was employed by Western Michigan University for over 10 years until her retirement in 1986. Virginia bowled in a senior league for several years at Airway Lanes in Portage. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are three children, James (Linda) Clarey of Kalamazoo, Nancy Jones of Parchment, and Peggy Clarey of Kalamazoo; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Warren of Denver, CO; and one sister, Ethel Boven of Tennessee. Preceding her in death are her husband, Bernard on November 30, 1988; her parents; and 4 brothers. Memorial Services for Mrs. Clarey will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Valley View Bible Church, 8946 W. Main Street, wit!
h Rev. Dr. William Theaker officiating. Inurnment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Lighthouse Hospice or American Diabetes Association. The family is being served by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
