Ok, given the information above, I found the following entry on page 334 of
the Cheboygan County Genealogical Society Cemetery Recordings book:

"NEELIS/NORA/1875-1959/JAMES/1862-1942"

The book states that Nora and James are buried in Section B 10 of Calvary
Catholic Cemetery on Black River Road approximately one mile Southeast of
Cheboygan Michigan. There are also entries for other NEELIS and LAVIGNE
listed in the index of the Cemetery Book. I saw no entries for TESSIER or
LESSIER.

More information might be gained by contacting St. Mary's Church, P. O. Box
40, Cheboygan MI 49721-0040, phone (231) 627-2105, as I understand that they
are the proprietors of the cemetery and would probably have all of the
records. Since Nora and James are buried in the Catholic cemetery, that
suggests that they may also have been married in the Church, and again St.
Mary's may have the record. If you write, be sure to include a self-addressed
stamped envelope (SASE) and also a small donation "for the good of the
Parish."

In addition to the Church records, the following information for obtaining
records from the County might also be useful to you. I found this County
information online and copied it to this e-mail. Happy hunting,

Al Trudeau, member Cheboygan County Genealogical Society
