My husband is related to Gonzalez family that lived at
one time within or around the Hacienda de San Marcos.
What I know from a cousin of my husband is the Genaro
Garcia was a millionaire who traveled back from Europe.
He was Spainard and he built a dam and the Hacienda de
San Marcos. According the cousin his Uncle which would be
my husband great Uncle Pablo Gonzalez he stay and was the
one of the keepers of the Hacienda. During the revolution,
Garcia took off and later died in France. I think the government of Mexico confiscated his property.
