Mexican, 22, River Victim

KINGFISHER- A 22-year-old native of Mexico became Oklahoma's
first drowning victim of the Memorial Day weekend when he went under while swimming in the Cimarron River six miles north of this northcentral Oklahoma town on Saturday, officials said.

Francisco Arce Castro of Zacatecas, Mexico, was dead on
arrival at Kingfisher Hospital about two hours after the 4:15 pm incident at the river bridge, on US Highway 81, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Castro was swimming in about 10 feet of water
when he sank.
