I am looking find information on my birth father Frank J. Penna who was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on 4 Jul 1908 Rancho Del Orito,to Manuel Villigrana and Guadalupe Flores-Benitz. Frank's Mexican name was Refugio Jose Villagrana and he came to the USA on Sep 16, 1918 by street car through El Paso, Texas.. My great grandfather Manuel Villagrana had died before my grandmother and father came to the US. Guadalupe Flores-Benitz was born in 1892 and had a brother Miguel Benitz who wrote to my father in 1937 from Zacatecas. Guadalupe or "LUPE" married John Penna in Chicago and had several children with him. My father married my mother Doris Rose Emma Sampson in Chicago in 1931 and they divorced seven months after my birth in Oct 1936. Frank remarried Josephine Cesare and had eight children with his new wife.My mother remarried George M. Erickson who adopted me in 1942 and changed my last name from Penna to Erickson. My grandmother Guadalupe Penna died in Chicago in 1971. According to my late father, Guadalupe had three or four siblings who remained behind in Mexico when she and my father escaped to the US away from the Mexican civil war. We have no written family history except for a letter from my great uncle Miquel Benitz. Just verbal accounts of female relations with blond hair and that they had owned or partly owned Rancho Del Orito. Any info on my Flores, Benitz or
