Hi Frances: La Purificación is the church. You may be able to see the Frensillo records yourself if you go to a Family History Center near you and order the films (for about $3.50). Just go to the catalog and put in Fresnillo:

Unfortunately they don't go back before about 1860. That's the bad news. Most Zacactecas towns go back much farther, but Fresnillo was on the losing end of wars and conflict and has no early records that I've been able to find.
