Hi, my name is Antonio R Quintanar Jr.
my fathers family is from Zacatecas and currently
resides in the city of Fresneo,
From what I've been told my fathers family came from Spain in the late 1800,s there were 14 families who basically all split up and went in different directions to settle.
My fathers family went to Zacatecas where they had a large
hacienda, and raised cattle, and farmed the land, there are only one or two relatives who still have a small piece of the original land grant.
My grandfathers name was Bloss Quintanar my dad told me that they moved around alot when he was growing up.
my grandfather used to make harps and leather goods
my father was born here in the United States and returned
when he was in his early twenties along with my two of my uncles.
My dad told me of how Pancho Villa killed two of his uncles
he told me that Poncho Villa disliked the Spaniards
the story goes that Pancho Villas father was a Spaniard
but his mother was a mexican Indian when his father died
he was not allwoed to take over his fathers hacienda it was taken from him because he was not a full blooded Spaniard
thus started his dislike of Spaniards.
