Rose, thanks for your reply regarding your cousin Dave's family. So far it doesn't appear that we have the same surnames. Some of them are common in this region such as Yañez, Lopez, Sanchez but the others don't sound remotely connected to my family lines. Of course in geneaology or ancestry that does not always mean that it is not family. You don't know until you go back far enough to know for sure. On my husband's side of the Olmos I have traced back from his great grandmother Antonia Olmos Ruiz who married Francisco Jauregui on 3 May, 1879, and she was born 2 Sept 1858. Her father was Jose Carlos Olmos Sigala and he married Maria Mateana Ruiz Aguirre on 20 Jan 1851. Jose Carlos Olmos was the son of Jose Rafael de Olmos and Maria Rafaela Sigala. Jose Rafael de Olmos was born 30 Mar 1785 and married Rafaela on 5 June 1815 and all this took place in Nochistlan. Maybe your cousin Dave might want us to keep in touch and compare notes and exchange information. I belong to !
