Also when at the IGI and if you've found a name of someone or sibling your looking for.......

Use the batch number: Click on the batch number, this will bring you to another search screen, you can either enter nothing and it will give you everyone on the film or you can enter the last name or the first name only, or parents first or last name only. Any type of combination will work. Because there are so many variations and misspelled last names I sometimes use the mother or fathers last name and leave the childrens name blank. If the batch number starts with a C it includes both males and females. Batch numbers that begin with K are for females only and J is for males only. Play with the batch number. For example if the batch number found is K600343, try K600342 or K600341. This will give you years before and after the film you've found. If you try this and nothing comes up, then most likely the LDS has not done the extraction yet for the IGI.
