Hello Conny,

Thank you for your reply. My grandfather Jose Maria Quintanar (now deceased) also fought in the Mexican Revolution, and the family lost their hacienda in Zac. My great grandmother, Juanita (his mother), died while hiding in the hills. The caretaker who made her plain box coffin was hung for doing so by Poncho Villa's men. I was given some of her handmade heirlooms, which I have framed and are over 120 years old. His father (my great grandfather) was Don Jose Quintanar.

I know he had a sister named Altagracia Quintanar. I'll try to find out the names of his other siblings.

Any information would be helpful. I have friends who are fluent in Spanish that could help me communicate.
