Do you have any information on the origin of the name Garica de la Cadena. Where they originally came from? I do know there were a number of De la Cadena brothers (my uncles) that purchased a number of ranches outside of Jerez back in the early 1770's.

Also, the Garcia de la Cadena's were involved in fighting the chicamecas in Jalisco and Zacatecas, in the early conquest of Mexico.

My greatggggggfather was Captain Lazaro Garcia de la Cadena, and he lived in Jerez, Zacatecas, in the late 1600's. His wife, my greatggggggmother, Maria de Casas was also from Jerez.

Any information would be appreciated.

Alberto Duarte
