I do have a copy of the Olague crest that I got in Spain several years ago. I will e-mail you a copy as soon as I can figure out what your e-mail address is. Is that a "1" (the number) between "desi" and "pup" or is it an "l" (the letter)?

If your ancestors were from Zacatecas in Mexico, then you might have some Indian blood, perhaps Aztec. The Aztecs were not from Spain. The Aztecs and Mayans were already in Mexico when Hernan Cortez came from Spain around 1520.
Cortez fought and conquered the Aztecs with help from other Indian tribes in Mexico that were enemies of the Aztecs.

The name Olague is Basque, not Aztec. There is a small town in the north of Spain named Olague, and I've been there. The town of Olague is in the state of Navarra in Spain.

I would like to know the names of your ancestors. How far back can you go---to your great-grandparents or to anyone in Mexico, especially from the state of Zacatecas? When did they come to the United States?
