where'd you get that idea? I wanted to organize a group of "serious"
researchers so that we can help one another. I have taken a leading role
mostly in the area of helping those that know almost nothing about
finding their Jalisco, Zacatecas, Aguacalientes and other estados de
Mexico roots. Since I know just a little bit more than nothing I feel
confident in sharing what I know. Many in the group have shared their
genealogies and made connections establishing themselves as relatives.

I'd suggest that you go to the webpage and read the messages that are
open to the general public and get a feel for how the group is handling
itself. There are several top notch researchers in the group and I for
one am learning a lot. As for my qualifications I am good at starting a
group like this and maintaining order. [so far there hasn't been to much
need for maintaining order as we are a pretty friendly group].

heck if you want someone to lead you you might do better going to a
professional. This is not the home for you. otherwise if you are willing
to do your own research and confirm that in an email to me and also if
you are willing to send in your genealogical work so far and are willing
to confirm that in an email to me you'd be more than welcome to join the
group

" This group is for those actively searching for their Mexican Genealogy
Roots. El objetivo de este grupo cibernético es para poner en contacto
genealogistas serios que tienen raíces en Jalisco, Zacatecas y
Aguascalientes, y así, facilitar las investigaciónes genealógicas de los
miembros. The intent but never the requirement is to stay focused on the
Ranchos of Jalisco, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes. If you are a serious
researcher or want to be a serious researcher this group is for you. If
you have no intention of doing your own research I would suggest the
multitude of message boards available at Rootsweb. Please scan through
the message archive, which is open to the general public, to get an idea
of what is meant by doing your own research.

Note: If you decide to join this group it will be expected that as soon
as you are comfortable you will introduce yourself describing what
surnames you are researching in what areas during which time periods.
Also you will be expected to send in your Genealogy line from the
Jalisco, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes areas so that we can try to make
some connections with one another. These files or links to your
Genealogy will be kept in Non-Public areas of the group."
