Looking for info on Ventura...born in Zacatecas July 14, 1889. She had a sister named Gavina, and their mother was Catalina. Surname might have been: Mendoza, Navarro, ...? Ventura had 5 children: Fidencio, Angelica, Francisca (born Oct. 1909), Miguel, and the baby, Jose Ilario (my Dad) born March 16, 1916? His father was Felix Roman? They lived in a two room cliff dwelling type "condominium" with dirt floors and a roof over only one of the rooms. Felix died young from some illness, influenza? Ventura crossed over from Mexico to Texas (from Piedras Negras to Eagle Pass) in 1920. They may all have been from someplace called Soca? Zoca? , Zacatecas. Felix Roman may have in some way been related to a Leopoldo Castorena that later married Micaela.
Gavina married someone Adame and had two sons named Jose and Manuel. They moved to Torreon. Manuel Adame later had a daughter named Anita Gutierrez that lives in Coleman, Texas. Gavina later married again and had another son named Salvador Macias.
