okay here you go.

go to http://www.familysearch.com

then click on "Library" at the top

then click on "Family History Library Catalog"

then click on "Place Search"

then input "Fresnillo"

then click on the Zacatecas one

then click on "Civil Records"

the click on " Registros civiles del municipio de Fresnillo, Zacatecas,
1861-2000

then click on "View Films Notes"

scroll down to these two films:

Defunciones 1936-1943 VAULT INTL Film

Defunciones 1944-1955 VAULT INTL Film

then Rush. . .don't walk to your closest Family History Center and order
these two films and hope that your Jose was actually recorded in the
records. . .he probably was but there are no gaurentees.

ps: look around the films available for Fresnillo in the church records
and you will find which film to order for the 1898 births.
