Greetings, Jeannie. Adame isn't the most common name but it's not rare, either. Try to find Fermina's real last name. Remember that in the Mexican naming convention/tradition, women do not change their last name to the husvband's. Further, children carry their father's last name AND their mother's last name. So, Santiago's original last name was Adame + his mother's/maternal grandfather's last name. If you can track down everyones' complete last names, it will help you refine you search. Also, remember the church put Maria ("Ma.") in front of virtually every girl's name; boys usually got Jose or Juan. Try adding them in fron to of the person's known first name when doing you search. Also, any idea od where in Zacatecas; it's a big state.
Have you checked with the LDS records? They're about the most thorough for Mexico that I've found so far (in 9 years of research).
Hope this helps. Good luck.
