My family for 3-4 generations lived in the Santa Maria de Los Angeles
area of Jalisco. In a baptism record and a marriage record it gives a
location as "Rancho de Negros, Juricacion de Villanueba." That seems to
be the Jurisdiction of Villanueba and not necessarily the current city
of Villaneuva. So I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of "Rancho de
Negros"? I have some good information that this generation I'm speaking
of came from Sombrerete, Zacatecas so now I'm wondering if Rancho de
Negros might be close to that city.

Also how would I go about finding our what area is considered to be in
the Jurisdiction of Villaneuva. . .in the time frame of 1780-1820???

his original residence of Sombrerete, Zacatecas.

Jose Julio de Jesus Puente who met and married

who met and married Virginia Diaz, they had
Antonio Diaz Puentes who met and married Louisa Perez,
and they had me.

Most resided in Santa Maria de Los Angeles, Jalisco but I believe that
Juan Jose possibly came from Santa Ines, Jalisco or even SanchezRoman,
Zacatecas.

. . .then there was Juan Jose Diaz who met and married
Maria Concepcion Castaneda, they had Jose Vicente Diaz
who met and married Maria Hipolita Caciana Rivas, they had Jose Tadeo
Diaz who met and married Genoveva Leanos, they had Jorge Diaz who met
and married Andrea Torres, they had Francisco Diaz who met and married
Antonia Santa Maria,
they had Virginia Diaz who met and married Julio Puente, they
had Antonio Diaz Puentes who met and married Louisa Perez,
and they had me.
